WHY DID JESUS CHRIST OFTEN MEET AT KIDRON

WHY DID JESUS CHRIST OFTEN  MEET AT KIDRON

Joh 18:1  -When Jesus had spoken these words, He went out with His disciples over the Brook Kidron,---2-for Jesus often met there with His disciples.

KING ASA BURNT IDOLS AT KIDRON--

2 Chr 15: 2--The LORD is with you, while ye be with Him; and if ye seek Him, He will be found of you; but if ye forsake Him, He will forsake you.

3  Now for a long season Israel hath been without the true God, and without a teaching priest, and without law.

4  But when they in their trouble did turn unto the LORD God of Israel, and sought Him, He was found of them.

2 Chr 15 explains the time of king Asa. He listened to the words of the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage, and put away the abominable idols out of all the land of Judah ---vs. 8----

12  And they entered into a covenant to seek the LORD God of their fathers with all their heart and with all their soul;

13  That whosoever would not seek the LORD God of Israel should be put to death,---- 15  And all Judah rejoiced at the oath: for they had sworn with all their heart, and sought him with their whole desire; and he was found of them: and the LORD gave them rest round about.

16  And also concerning Maachah the mother of Asa the king, he removed her from being queen, because she had made an idol in a grove: and Asa cut down her idol, and stamped it, and burnt it at the brook Kidron.

2 Kings 23 explains how king Josiah destroyed, burned all idols at Kidron, cast the dust into Kidron.

2Ch 29:16 says all the uncleanness - they found in the temple of the LORD---were carried --into the brook Kidron during king Hezekiah’s time.

2Ch 30:14 too says a similar thing.

IT IS PROPHESY---in Jer 31: 31-40 that the LORD will make a new covenant with ISRAEL, who are as now dead bodies, but be given life, so that they would not be cast off for ever---and they are compared to be in Kidron, vs. 40, which would become Holy when LORD cleanses them eternally, FORGIVING THEM, vs. 34, {this is through Ro 6: 3-7}--and thus ISRAEL WOULD NOT BE DESTROYED IN KIDRON AFTER THAT!

Joh 15:3  Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. (the words of JESUS CHRIST does the work!)

SO IDOLS WERE DESTROYED AT KIDRON!

Joh 18:1  -When Jesus had spoken these words, He went out with His disciples over the Brook Kidron,---2-for Jesus often met there with His disciples.

SO WHY DID JESUS CHRIST MEET AT KIDRON? The one true God JESUS CHRIST, who is the Father as well, Isa 9: 6, who made Himself as a man to sacrifice Himself for the sins of His people and believers, Heb 7: 3, OFTEN THOUGHT OF KIDRON—TO DESTROY THE UNCLEANNES OF HIS PEOPLE, LIKE WHAT HAPPENED IN HISTORY OF ISRAEL! EVEN ELIJAH AND MOSES KNEW THAT THE LORD WOULD ACCOMPLISH TO CLEANSE ISRAEL THROUGH HIS DEATH, LU 9: 31. BROOK KIDRON WAS VERY SPECIAL TO JESUS CHRIST, AS HE KNEW HE WOULD CLEANSE ALL IDOLS OF ISRAEL!

WE SHOULD REMOVE ALL IDOLS THAT HINDER OUR TRUE WORSHIP!

HE REQUIRES US TO DO SO!

THE FIRST PLACE SHOULD BE GIVEN TO JESUS CHRIST --1 Co 7: 24  Brethren, let every man, wherein he is called, therein abide with God.

TIME IS SHORT---29  But this I say, brethren, the time is short: it remaineth, that both they that have wives be as though they had none;

30  And they that weep, as though they wept not; and they that rejoice, as though they rejoiced not; and they that buy, as though they possessed not;

31  And they that use this world, as not abusing it: for the fashion of this world passeth away.

ISRAEL became idolaters as they followed idols, Jer 2:5

Eze 8:12  Then He said to me, "Son of man, have you seen what the elders of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in the room of his idols? For they say, ‘The LORD does not see us, the LORD has forsaken the land.’"

when LORD’s Sabbaths are polluted hearts go after idols, Eze. 20; 16,

that is why even gentiles were required not to have idols, Acts 15: 20.

Praising H.W.Armstrong in LORD’s church, is raising an idol –in history people of ISRAEL never praised any man like this!

BUT ISRAEL WOULD REALISE—

Ho 14:8  "Ephraim shall say, ‘What have I to do anymore with idols?’ I have heard and observed him. I am like a green cypress tree; Your fruit is found in Me."

PCG to whom the blessings of Ephraim would come, would understand finally!

They would understand that they are first cleansed from ISRAEL –that she would have to mother the rest of ISRAEL, Ez 16: 60-62.

PCG TO GET BLESSINGS OF Ephraim

Joh 14:23  Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love Me, he will keep My words:

THIS IS WHY PCG HAD TO TAKE THE WORDS TO RETURN TO THEIR GOD, JESUS CHRIST--Hos 1 -O Israel, return to the LORD your God, For you have stumbled because of your iniquity; 2--Take words with you, And return to the LORD. Say to Him, "Take away all iniquity; Receive us graciously, For we will offer the sacrifices of our lips.

-Jer 31:23  Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: "They shall again use this speech in the land of Judah and in its cities, when I bring back their captivity: ‘The LORD bless you, O home of justice, and mountain of holiness!’

Ps. 136: 1 -Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.--2  Oh, give thanks to the God of gods! For His mercy endures forever.

3--Oh, give thanks to the Lord of lords! For His mercy endures forever:

Ps. 139:19  Bless the LORD, O house of Israel! Bless the LORD, O house of Aaron!

20  Bless the LORD, O house of Levi! You who fear the LORD, bless the LORD!

21  Blessed be the LORD out of Zion, Who dwells in Jerusalem! Praise the LORD!

Amen.
